Music is not background. It’s emotional architecture.

I work with brands, filmmakers, and institutions to shape how audiences feel, remember, and trust.

“A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, with a passion for music. Everything is played by ear…”

From Alternative rock bands, to working with singer/songwriters, Gus is able to apply his musicality to a variety of projects. He was songwriter and Lead guitarist for ‘Street Asylum’, which went on to support the chart-topping band Scouting for Girls on their UK tour.

Following a stint as an instrumentalist on the debut album for Alex Kate, he continues to collaborate with the London based Pax Records

As the Director of Music for a charity music event sponsored by Mind UK, Gus was able to work with musicians from across the Edinburgh scene. This led to the opportunity to work as a music supervisor for the charity ‘Project Remake’, which involved working with incarcerated artists. He actively draws inspiration from them to this day.

Whilst at University, Gus discovered a passion for composing for media. His debut score for the 2020 film ‘Astral’ was voted as the best score by the Edinburgh Film Society that year.

Since then, his work has ranged from writing podcast introductions, to collaborating on video projects and organising live events.
